FIRST CUT GUIDES

At Granberg International, we pride ourselves on our quality tools made here in the USA. Our family owned and operated business has been designing and creating products and parts for our customers since 1954. We know that it takes skill and practice for quality millwork, but the right chainsaw mill and products can go a long way in helping you get that perfect, smooth cut every time. Along with our chainsaw mills, we offer products to help create that first cut, including our Slabbing Rail Brackets, EZ-Rail Systems, and upgrades and parts for the EZ-Rail Systems. These help make the milling process even smoother and easier, creating better results with simple solutions for the replacement of parts.

Slabbing Rail Bracket Set

Our Slabbing Rail Bracket set is made from aluminum extrusion rail designed to bolt to 2x4s and then attach to a log of any length or diameter. You can use the slabbing rail brackets with any horizontally-oriented mill. The cutting length of the Slabbing Rail Bracket is limited only by  the length of the 2x4s used (2x4s not included), so you can swap the length of the 2x4s based on the log and project in mind. Once the 2x4s have been drilled, slide the carriage bolts through the 2x4 and into the bracket slot. Forming nails (included in the Slabbing Rail Bracket set) or wood screws can then be used to secure the bracket to the log. The Slabbing Rail Bracket set is perfect for a miller on a budget. .

EZ-Rail Systems

The EZ-Rail Systems come in two size lengths for your convenience and is the best way to make the perfect first cut.The EZ rails comes in 5 and 10 foot sections which can be combined using the G1090 connector kits to achieve the desired cut length. EZ-Rail Systems are made with aircraft-grade aluminum rails to provide a stable surface that attaches in seconds and is easy to level from left to right and front to back. Cross members are adjustable along the entire length of the rails. Larger crossbars are available for logs that are wider than four feet in diameter. If you have been looking for a simple solution to help make that perfect first cut, the EZ-Rail Systems are what you need.
